Evgenia was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and has lived and worked in London since 2010. With a background in Interior Architecture and Design, Evgenia started working with clay in an effort to be more creative, playful and experimental. She focuses on handmade pieces, mainly by the coiling method, inspired by imperfections and individuality. She enjoys the hand-building process, leaving fingerprint and hand traces on the surfaces, granting each piece its unique appearance and beautiful ‘flaws’ that come with it. She works from Turning Earth studios in North London where she is continuing her exploration into functional and sculptural forms.
